Eagle Ray, Inc. Acquires Kore Federal; Expands Technology Solutions for Federal Customers

For immediate release December 4, 2013

Chantilly, VA, December 4, 2013:   Eagle Ray, Inc., a strategic enterprise consulting and IT management services company that supports the intelligence community and Department of Defense clients, announced today it has acquired Kore Federal of Falls Church, Va. Terms of the acquisition were not made public.

Kore Federal combines strategic planning capabilities, government domain expertise, and cutting-edge technology to address the full technology lifecycle for homeland security, law enforcement and public sector financial services clients.

“By diversifying our client base, we will mitigate the impact of the unpredictability of the government contracting cycle,” said Babs Doherty, president and CEO of Eagle Ray. “While we will retain our small-company agility, we add the critical mass needed to compete for, win and execute large-scale efforts.”

Eagle Ray’s expertise includes program and project management, independent verification and validation, process and system engineering, performance and risk management, cyber compliance/information assurance, and acquisition support. Kore Federal brings expertise in key mission growth areas: enterprise mobility, applied analytics, open source platforms, and Agile software/systems engineering.

“This acquisition enables us to leverage strong program management paired with innovative technical solutions,” Doherty said. “We now have the people, process and technology to make our customers successful.”

Doherty said the addition of Kore Federal’s team of highly skilled technical experts will make Eagle Ray more competitive in the government marketplace because they can deliver the full range of business and technical capabilities.

Kore Federal executives Brian Stygar and Greg Williams will join Eagle Ray as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer respectively. Operations will be consolidated at Eagle Ray’s Chantilly headquarters.

“Eagle Ray and Kore Federal share a set of common values – mission focus, common sense and performance excellence – that underpin the best attributes of both companies for the benefit of our customers, our partners and our employees,” Doherty said.
